Hello nature and
wildlife art lovers. In the past we have been primarily
an art gallery site with the works of Boyd Shaffer for
sale on line, with a secondary mission of natural science
education. We will now reverse that priority, with
education being our primary focus, and the display of
Boyd's artwork being our secondary focus. We will be
putting some new artwork on display eventually, but for
now, the above show is the extent of our art offerings.
These are
troubling times for our planet both politically and
environmentally. Much of the world's attention is on the
politically climate and we feel the very important issues
of our environmental problems may be getting lost in the
shuffle.
It has been said
that the best way to fix something, is to find out
exactly how it works. We feel that this wise advice can
be applied to our planet's environmental problems as
well. If more and more people become informed about
exactly how the earth "works", then perhaps we can come
up with better ways to restore it to health. Hopefully,
the information on this site, will in some small way move
us toward that goal.
While we will
continue to exhibit Boyd's artwork, we will not display
as many at one time. Instead we will feature different
showings and groupings which go along with articles of
interest. Because Boyd's artwork is available in several
locations around the world we are no longer be running an
on-line store. We will, however, continue to welcome
inquiries about prints and Boyd will continue to take
commissions in oil, acrylic and watercolor.
We hope to have
some new works up very soon. In the meantime, we hope you
will enjoy the many articles in our "observations of a
naturalist" section.
