Observations of a Naturalist

Online Articles about nature - by Boyd Shaffer, artist /naturalist

This Article: Colloquialisms - common names can sometimes be dangerous!

I am constantly asked to identify a medicinal herb someone has found reference to in a medicinal plant book. The reason they have trouble is they don't compare the scientific names with our native and imported species.
